I read all of the Mortal Instruments books this past summer. Seriously, I picked the first one up, and within 50 pages I had ordered the rest of them. At one point, my husband got mad at me because I spent a whoel month reading. Inside, outside, couch, chair, floor bed…wherever I was, there was Cassandra Clare. It got a little weird…
Anyway, I ran across this article today, it’s an interview with Cassandra Clare, where she divulges secrets about the final Mortal Instruments book and the final Infernal Devices book. Here are some highlights:
- Expect a very hard-fought battle and a lot of epic romance [in Mortal Instruments book 6].
- The Infernal Devices final book will read like a Gothic romance, much like the others. Tessa will be torn between the two men she loves, and I can only hope she will pick the right one!!!
- Her next series, The Dark Artifices, will follow the Mortal Instruments. From Clare, “The Dark Artifices takes place in Los Angeles, and it’s really a direct outcome of what happens in the sixth Mortal Instruments book, City of Heavenly Fire, which is pretty much that the Shadowhunters’ whole world has changed forever—the way the Nephilim live and they way that they operate.” And yes, Jace and Clary will be involved, but not as key players like before.
- The movie version of City of Bones is set to be released on August 23, 2012.
