An Open and Honest Post About #MotivationMonday
Today is Motivation Monday, and if I am being completely
honest, I am running low in the motivation department. I have books to read and review, groceries to
get, meals to plan, dishes to wash, food to prepare, clothes to wash, and a
kitchen that will not stay clean. At
this point, I believe it’s a law of physics that kitchens cannot be clean. Pretty sure Einstein said that.

As the mom of two littles, I am always running around, but
add the holidays to that, and I have no time left. I need to finish the Christmas cards, shop
for presents, wrap the presents, hide the presents, fix the lights that went
out on the tree, do the baking, etc, etc, etc.

And oh yeah, don’t forget to be calm and not stress about
the holidays. You only have so many
Christmases with small children and you can’t waste that time feeling
overwhelmed and stressed by the constant need to cram as much holiday spirit
into every moment so that your kids look back at Christmas and think it was
magical. Then there’s Pinterest… perfect
crafts and projects that create perfect Christmases that only end up creating
more work for me and a huge mess. But if
I don’t do them, am I a lazy mother not willing to let my kids have the best
Christmas possible???

So, I guess what I am trying to get at is, I could use
some #MotivationMonday support. What is
motivating you? How are you handling these busy times? Do you have any motivational tidbits you can
share?
