I just want to take a moment to express my gratitude for someone very special to the book blogging community, TheWriteReads. In October of 2016, one user suggested a group of book bloggers come together and support each other. Each day, one blog would be chosen, one of their posts would be tweeted, and we would all retweet that post. USing our collective twitter power to spread the word about up and coming book bloggers. What happened after that has amazed everyone.
TheWriteReads has morphed into an online community of support for hundreds of book bloggers with a #reviewoftheday and #blogoftheday. Recently, I was featured as a #reviewoftheday, and my post has been viewed almost 1,000 times. This is unheard of in my little corner of the blogging world. He has also launched a TheWriteReadsOnTour. With the aim of helping bloggers and authors take back a little control of the blog tour industry, TheWriteReadsOnTour chooses worthy authors to participate in large scale blog tours. On these tours, a book is featured on hundreds on blogs and social media accounts in a short space of time, giving the writer instant and mass exposure. All of this is done simply to bring readers together so that we can all enjoy reading and reviewing books even more.
So today, I want to say thank you to TheWriteReads. Thank you for creating this beautiful space for bloggers. Thank you for all of the work you do by not only featuring our blogs, but allowing us to choose which post gets shared. Thank you for organizing these amazing tours and working tirelessly with us and our scheduling issues. But most of all, thank you for your patient, amazing, and generous heart. You are appreciated more than you could ever know, but hopefully today, you will get a glimpse of the impact you have had on our lives.
