Earlier, I covered which Literary Fiction authors and book series are most bingeable, to help us all fill time while we’re isolated and stuck inside.
Today, we’re talking about Adult Fantasy. These do not include Young Adult novels because there are just too many great fantasy writers and series to put them in the same list.
Here are the books I would ignore everything to bingeread again. Let me know your favs or the ones I’ve overlooked in the comments!
Fantasy (Not YA)

1. A Court of Thorns and Roses
I think it’s easy to see why this series was not only on the list, but the first series I thought of. I waited a ridiculously long time to read these books, having only started them in November, 2019. I got the entire series for my birthday, and once I cracked the spine of book #1, I didn’t come up for air.
In a shocking twist, book #1 wasn’t even my favorite of the series. Book #2 really started my obsession. If I had never read this series, and was stuck in quarantine, I would instantly buy this entire series and dive in. No hesitation.
2. Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy)
I am recommending this entire series, but I decided to list book #1, A Discovery of Witches in the title because it’s the most recognizable of the three. I honestly thought that was the name of the series until I started writing this post.
Witches and vampires are mortal enemies, locked in a centuries long battle of wills. In comes a reluctant witch doing just trying to do research on an ancient text, but fate has other plans in the form of a vanishing, magical tome and a gorgeous, brooding vampire.
It’s paranormal fantasy for bookworms, and I devoured every page.
3. Fever Series
I don’t know how these books aren’t a bigger deal in the fantasy world, but they are freaking awesome. I’ve already preordered my copy of the last book in the series, due out August 25, 2020.
I wasn’t a big fan of Fae based books, but Karen Marie Moning changed all of that with her story about MacKayla Lane. There’s also this person named Jericho Barrons. You don’t know him yet, but you will want to.
Set in Dublin, Ireland, this a roller coaster series that honestly never stops. The Book Blurb says it best:
“When her sister is murdered, leaving a single clue to her death—a cryptic message on Mac’s cell phone—Mac journeys to Ireland in search of answers. The quest to find her sister’s killer draws her into a shadowy realm where nothing is as it seems, where good and evil wear the same treacherously seductive mask. She is soon faced with an even greater challenge: staying alive long enough to learn how to handle a power she had no idea she possessed–a gift that allows her to see beyond the world of man, into the dangerous realm of the Fae. . . .”
Just try to tell me you aren’t interested.
4. Night Huntress
I have a confession about this series: when I first tried to read book #1 on audiobook years ago, I DNF it.
I know, right?
I just couldn’t get past the accent the narrator used for the male lead. It was 100% accurate, as he’s written as an English man with a cockney accent, but my brain just refused.
Years later, after seeing soooooo many good reviews of the series, I decided to try again and just told myself to get over it. So I started the audio and didn’t turn it off until my mind adjusted to the accent. Needless to say, I ended up reading the entire series in like a week, which is pretty incredible since it is at least 8 books long. Then I moved on to the spin off books and novellas.
The books are priced really well right now on Amazon, especially digital copies. Perfect time to snatch them up.
5. Sookie Stackhouse
I’m thinking that most people who will read this post have already tried Charlaine Harris’s Sookie Stackhouse series, but given when they were released, some people may not have been introduced.
This is an interesting series based on the idea that humans suddenly find out that vampires exist and the two try to live relatively peacefully together. Obviously, there are some problems that come up.
I loved the series, especially in the beginning. Sookie is charmingly naive but turns into a real bada**, finding power within herself she didn’t know she had, both figuratively and literally.
You can also bingewatch True Blood, which is an HBO series based off of the book, but BE WARNED, they diverge from the series pretty significantly.
6. The Bone Season
My insta friend, @crofteereader, suggested this series, and after reading the reviews, I can see why.
This is the only dystopian fantasy in my Adult Fantasy list, but only because I am mostly seeing this style of the fantasy genre in young adult. This series seems to blur the line between that distinction.
Just take a look at who reviewed this book, and you’ll want to read it. Now that is some name dropping!
If you want to try a bunch of books, now is the perfect time to try Kindle Unlimited!
Your thoughts?
So what do you think? Did I miss a Fantasy series that you can’t get enough of? If so, drop your thoughts in the comments and come back when we tackle the most binge-worthy Mystery, Suspense, & Thriller writers and series.

Love so many of these! I’d never heard of the Fever Series but I will definitely be checking it out now 😀
If you liked ACOTAR series, you will love the Fever series. IT’s crazy good.
My goodness, I haven’t read any of these?!? They all sound fascinating though so I’m definitely going to invest in a few to keep me going. Bx

NONE??? That’s amazing and also wonderful bc you can jump into any of them right now and have tons of entertainment for a loooonnnggg time!
I know! I must have been under a rock or something. What do you recommend to start?
That’s a tough one!!! I have a couple of questions, do you prefer vampires or Fae? Do you like or care if there is sex in a book? No judgment, I like the sex scenes so don’t be shy.
I don’t mind on either really. The only thing that I don’t particularly like in a book is dual narrative
All right, most of these series definitely started off with one single POV. In later books, as more characters are added (and become wildly popular) you see more written from their perspectives.
If I had to pick one to start with….If you like fast moving go with the Fever series. If you like a little bit of mystery probably start with Discovery of Witches.
That was way harder than it should have been. I felt like I was picking a favorite child.
Haha well I appreciate the effort thanks 😊 I’ll have a look and add them to my TBR
These are interesting books! I’ll have them on my list to read!
Have you read any of them yet?
Some great suggestions thank you
Thank you so much for stopping by and commenting. I hope you get a chance to read a few of these books. You won’t be disappointed.
Me too
Great post! I’ve only read the ACOTAR series and the first book in the All Souls trilogy but I need to get to all of the others too!
You won’t be able to stop once you start, I promise. All very good and addictive.
I’m sure they are°
I love your Binge- Worthy posts! Without fail, there has been a book already on my own reading list from them & then I ended up adding more! Love reading & these lists have been helpful in giving me some more material. The Fantasy one in particular I really enjoyed because it’s one of my favorite genres & I also loved the Fever series! I feel like I have to reread them now lol
You have absolutely no idea how much that means to me. These lists actually take a lot of work to create, and I was just hoping they would be useful to someone. I’m working on the YA fantasy post right now, and let me tell you, it’s getting out of hand. I may have to have a seperate paranormal YA fantasy post bc, seriously, this genre has exploded.
