I have already covered which Literary Fiction, Adult Fantasy, Mystery , and YA Fantasy authors and book series are most bingeable, to help us all fill time while we’re isolated and stuck inside.
Today, we’re talking about Romance.
Here are the books I would ignore everything to bingeread again. Let me know your favs or the ones I’ve overlooked in the comments!
1. Nora Roberts
I know everyone probably thinks they know Nora Roberts. She has a lot of books out there, and some of them, like Shelter in Place, are heart stopping romantic suspense. But what a lot of people don’t realize is that she excels are writing romantic paranormal fantasy. I can’t tell you the number of times I have been lost in one of her series about witches, demons, angels, and even a mermaid.
Check out the summary of Sign of Seven and tell me you aren’t intrigued.
Also, the romance is pretty steamy too, not Rhysand and Feyre steamy, but pretty good none the less.
Book Blurb
#1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents the first novel in a compelling trilogy about three brothers bound by fate, blood, and a timeless enemy.
In the town of Hawkins Hollow, it’s called The Seven. Every seven years, on the seventh day of the seventh month, strange things happen. It began when three young boys—Caleb, Fox, and Gage—went on a camping trip to The Pagan Stone…
It is only February, but Caleb Hawkins—descendant of the town founders—has already seen and felt the stirrings of evil. Though he can never forget the beginning of the terror in the woods twenty-one years ago, the signs have never been this strong before. Cal will need the help of his best friends Fox and Gage, but surprisingly he must rely on a stranger as well.
Reporter Quinn Black came to Hawkins Hollow hoping to make its eerie happenings the subject of her new book. She too can see the evil the locals cannot, somehow connecting her to the town—and to Cal. As winter turns to spring, they will shed their inhibitions, surrendering to a desire that will grow and form the cornerstone of a group of men and women bound by the fight against what is to come from out of the darkness…
2. Karen Robards
This lady is one of my favorites, and her Charlotte Stone series is paranormal romance at its best. Ghosts, serial killers, FBI agents, and a forensic psychiatrist, what could possibly go wrong.
She also has a new book coming out this summer called The Black Swan of Paris. Which proves, once again, that she writes in all different genres, with romance being the thread that ties them together.
Book Blurb
“[An] exceptional storyteller . . . Leave it to [Karen] Robards to deliver the start of a series that is distinctive and unforgettable!”—RT Book Reviews
A sought-after expert in criminal pathology, Dr. Charlotte Stone regularly sits face-to-face with madmen. At the age of sixteen, she herself survived a serial killer’s bloodbath. Because of the information she gave police, the Boardwalk Killer went underground, but Charlie kept her postmortem visions of the victims to herself. Years later, to protect her credibility as a psychological expert, she tells no one about these apparitions. Now a teenage girl is missing, her family slaughtered. The Boardwalk Killer—or a sick copycat with his M.O.—is back. This is the one case Charlie knows she shouldn’t go near. But she also knows that she may be the one person in the world who can stop this vicious killer, especially when she receives help from an unexpected source: The fiery spirit of a seductive bad boy who refuses to be ignored.
“Excellent . . . This story is going to haunt you.”—Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
“Thrilling . . . a fun and sexy read.”—Booklist
“Tantalizing.”—Library Journal
3. Nicholas Sparks
I felt like I couldn’t make a list of bingeable romance authors without naming possibly the most recognizable romance writer of all. With a catalogue of over twenty books, you can plan to be reading him for quite a while, maybe even until his new book, The Return, is released in September, 2020.
What makes bingeing Nicholas Sparks even more appealing during our lockdown, is that you can read a book and then watch the movie, as a lot of his novels have been adapted to major motion pictures. I suggest starting where he started with The Notebook. Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams still make me swoon, the chemistry is just stunning.
Book Blurb
Experience the unforgettable, heartbreaking love story set in post-World War II North Carolina about a young socialite and the boy who once stole her heart — one of PBS’s “Great American Reads”.
Every so often a love story so captures our hearts that it becomes more than a story-it becomes an experience to remember forever. The Notebook is such a book. It is a celebration of how passion can be ageless and timeless, a tale that moves us to laughter and tears and makes us believe in true love all over again…
At thirty-one, Noah Calhoun, back in coastal North Carolina after World War II, is haunted by images of the girl he lost more than a decade earlier. At twenty-nine, socialite Allie Nelson is about to marry a wealthy lawyer, but she cannot stop thinking about the boy who long ago stole her heart. Thus begins the story of a love so enduring and deep it can turn tragedy into triumph, and may even have the power to create a miracle…
4. Sandra Brown
I like Sandra Brown’s mix of suspense with intense romance scenes pretty appealing. Sometimes her language can get a little jarring, and she could probably give a little more credit to the ladies (every once in a while, her heroes can get too alpha male a**hole), but those plots….
Book Blurb
#1 New York Timesbestselling author Sandra Brown delivers nonstop suspense and supercharged sexual tension in a thriller about tainted heroism and vengeance without mercy.
Kerra Bailey is a TV journalist hot on the trail of a story guaranteed to skyrocket her career to new heights. Twenty-five years ago, Major Franklin Trapper became a national icon when he was photographed leading a handful of survivors to safety after the bombing of a Dallas hotel. For years, he gave frequent speeches and interviews but then suddenly dropped out of the public eye, shunning all media. Now Kerra is willing to use any means necessary to get an exclusive with the Major–even if she has to secure an introduction from his estranged son, former ATF agent John Trapper.
Still seething over his break with both the ATF and his father, Trapper wants no association with the bombing or the Major. Yet Kerra’s hints that there’s more to the story rouse Trapper’s interest despite himself. And when the interview goes catastrophically awry–with unknown assailants targeting not only the Major, but also Kerra–Trapper realizes he needs her under wraps if he’s going to track down the gunmen . . . and finally discover who was responsible for the Dallas bombing.
Kerra is wary of a man so charming one moment and dangerous the next, and she knows Trapper is withholding evidence from his ATF investigation into the bombing. But having no one else to trust and enemies lurking closer than they know, Kerra and Trapper join forces to expose a sinuous network of lies and conspiracy–and uncover who would want a national hero dead.
5. Helen Hoang
This is a bit of a stretch for bingeable, because she has only released 2 books, but there is a third (The Heart Principle) on the way, and I just couldn’t leave this author out of my list.
Writing from the Contemporary Romance genre, Helen Hoang brings a whole new voice by making at least one of her main characters a person living on the Autism Spectrum.
I could not put The Kiss Quotient down, and I don’t think you will be able to either.
Book Blurb
From the author of The Bride Test comes a romance novel hailed as one of The Washington Post’s 50 Notable Works of Fiction in 2018 and one of Amazon’s Top 100 Books of 2018!
“This is such a fun read and it’s also quite original and sexy and sensitive.”—Roxane Gay, New York Times bestselling author
“Hoang’s writing bursts from the page.”—Buzzfeed
A heartwarming and refreshing debut novel that proves one thing: there’s not enough data in the world to predict what will make your heart tick.
Stella Lane thinks math is the only thing that unites the universe. She comes up with algorithms to predict customer purchases—a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with, and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty-year-old.
It doesn’t help that Stella has Asperger’s and French kissing reminds her of a shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot fish. Her conclusion: she needs lots of practice—with a professional. Which is why she hires escort Michael Phan. The Vietnamese and Swedish stunner can’t afford to turn down Stella’s offer, and agrees to help her check off all the boxes on her lesson plan—from foreplay to more-than-missionary position…
Before long, Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses, but crave all of the other things he’s making her feel. Their no-nonsense partnership starts making a strange kind of sense. And the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of logic…
6. Maya Banks
Maya Banks is a guilty pleasure for me, as I can’t get enough of her gun toting, over protective, alpha males. Yeah it’s a steroetype, and yeah, I should be better than that, but I’m not.
But her women are almost all pretty kicka** and don’t take a lot from these overbearing men. Lots of action and lots of steamy romance.
Book Blurb
The next heart pounding novel in the KGI series from Maya Banks, the New York Times bestselling author of Rush, Fever, and Burn, the Breathless trilogy.

If you want to try a bunch of books, now is the perfect time to try Kindle Unlimited!
7. Jasmine Guillory
I simply pounded through these books. What I really love about the series is its continuity. Each book weaves in and out of the other books in the timeline. You can read them on their own, but if you read the entire series, you get to see parts from other books from a different perspective. It’s genius and the writing is hysterical.
Book Blurb

8. Christine Feehan
We all know and love Christine Feehan for her vampire based romance novels, mainly the Dark series and the Carpathian series.
My personal fav is the Ghostwalker series. A mad scientist, genetically modified soldiers, and lovers that are mated through science and fate to be together. It’s all so great.
