From Me…

I have avoided this series since it came out for one reason…I knew I would get hooked.  So I started reading the first one, City of Bones, a week from today.  Now, a week later, I am reading the third one, and it only took that long because I had to wait for shipping.
 
As for the first book specifically, it is good.  The characters are engaging and witty, and the story is really interesting.  I have noted a lot of similarities between the characters of this series and of the Infernal Devices.  For instance, both series has a leading man who is sarcastic, orphaned and notoriously diffcult to like, which is ironic, since it is impossible for any character in the series not to love him, or at least like him. 
 
The City of Bones, with Jace and Clary is specifically engaging, since by the end of the book, you can’t help but want them together.  Then, of course, you throw the book against the wall when you find out…

that they are brother and sister!!!  AAAHHHHH!!!  For both of them to be spawned from the evil Valentine (irony *giggle*), is almost unbearable.  I have to believe it can’t be true, but who knows?!?!  All I can say is that I need to read book two in order to find out.
