My Thoughts
These picture books are so fun and my kids give them two thumbs up. They loved trying to figure out how the goose was going to get down and who could do it.
Some of the ideas were a little bit beyond my 3 year old but my 6 year old loved the stories and understood everything happening.
I really loved how the heroine just took control and tried to solve the problem. There was a goose making a lot of noise on her roof and she was going to solve the problem, no waffling. A girl with a take charge attitude, I love it.
The illustrations were adorable and the quality of the hardback version is excellent. These pages will definitely stand up to tiny hands that can be less than careful. I’ve had to tape many pages back into books but I’m not worried at all to let my kids flip through these.
Great lessons about being yourself and solving problems.
Thanks so much to Sarah Sommer and iRead Book Tours for my copy of The Goose on the Roof in exchange for an honest review.
