Last night I was reading Twitter, enjoying the occasional review, when someone posted something that got me thinking. The question, posed by @kimbacaffeinate & @booklove101 was this: what books do you almost always recommend when someone asks for a suggestion. Their lists were pretty good, and I definitely agreed with most of them, but I felt the list was too focused on YA, which is fine, especially if that’s what you like! I mean, who would recommend a book they didn’t like?!
Anyway, I started thinking about the books that I would recommend. I was thinking of the bokos that I have recommended, or books that I have let people borrow. Then I started wondering what other people would recommend. So I decided to stop wondering, and just ask…man I love having a blog!!! Below you will find my list, and I would love to know yours! Please don’t feel like you have to have a full list, if you just want to make a suggestion, that’s cool too!
- Harry Potter by J.K. Rowlings
- The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
- Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
- Twilight (leave me be, these are fun books!!!) by Stephanie Meyer
- A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
- Beach Road by James Patterson
- The DaVinci Code by Dan Brown
- The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks
- The Locket by Richard Paul Evans
- City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

I almost always recommend any of Ellen Hopkins novels or all of them for that matter. Depending on the person I may recommend Jacquelyn Frank's Nightwalker series or L.A. Banks The Vampire Huntress Novels those are two of my favorite series for sure. I have read almost all of the books on your list as well and enjoyed them and would recommend them too.

I love all of these books – but have to say that one of the most amazing and powerful books I have read in awhile is 'A Walk Across the Sun' by Corban Addison. Definitely a must read – about an all too real problem in our world, but written as a beautiful story that is not overwhelming.
