So Blogtober Day #3, according to our friends at The Library Looter & Anniek’s Library, today’s prompt is Fall Bookish Bucket List. Guys, I’m pretty sure this post idea was made for me, like just for me. Maybe they saw my blog?!?! 😉
I sat down to think about this one, and didn’t realize how many booking fall things I like to do. So, here we go and I hope you see something fun to do.
1. First and foremost, I want to finish my entire Spooky October TBR. My main goal this year is to read more Stephen King, because all I have read is Salem’s Lot and 11/22/63 (which doesn’t really count because it’s not really horror). I feel like this is a huge hole in my bookshelf and I can’t have that.
2. Next up is finding and completing the perfect book themed pumpkin carving. It will probably be a child’s book themed pumpkin, but given the fact that my audience consists of a 5 year old and a 2 year old, it’s sure to be a crowd pleaser.
3. As the leaves continue to fall, I have to get out my books and take some great bookstagram shots. Leaves are perfect, easy, beautiful, and free props, and I love to find all kinds of ways to incorporate them into my photos. Hopefully, you will check me out on Instagram and see how I’m doing.
4. One of my favorite places during fall is my front porch. For our wood anniversary, my husband bought me a rocking chair for the front porch. It has a comfortable pad and a little table perfect for holding drinks. I like to take one of my spooky reads, a warm beverage, and a blanket outside, curl up and read to the sounds of wind rustling the leaves. It’s like the autumn version of calming wave sounds, only I don’t need an expensive sound machine to hear it. Here’s hoping the kiddos nap simultaneously so that I can experience this nirvana.
5. Last but not least, I want to finish Blogtober. Every single year I try to do it, I run out of steam by about October 20. This year I am determined to finish even if I miss a couple of posts.
What are you looking forward to doing this fall? Are there any books involved in your plans?
